Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 4 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced bacon, cooked
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and other toppings of your choice
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, diced bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Mix well to create the jalapeno popper filling
Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten them into thin patties
Place a spoonful of the jalapeno popper filling in the center of 4 of the patties
Top each with one of the remaining patties and seal the edges to form stuffed burger patties
Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat
Grill the stuffed burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are lightly browned
Assemble your burgers by placing lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun, then adding the stuffed burger patty, and finally topping it with the top bun
