Buffalo-style chicken wings are a classic American appetizer that are known for having a spicy and sour taste. With this recipe, you can make homemade buffalo sauce and serve it with crispy fried wings.
Ingredients:
- 12 chicken wings
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees F 190 degrees C
Fry the chicken wings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes per batch
While the wings are frying, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat
Stir in the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper
Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl
Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until evenly coated
