Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs beef round steak, tenderized
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14
- 5 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper together
Coat the round steak in the flour mix and then shake off the extra
Put vegetable oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium-high heat
It will take about 34 minutes for each side for the steak to brown after you add it to the pan
Take the steak out of the pan and set it aside
Put the onion, bell pepper, and garlic in the same pan
About 3 minutes of cooking will soften the food
Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, thyme, and cayenne pepper should all be stirred in
Bring everything together to a simmer
Put the steak back in the pan and add some of the sauce on top of it
Put the lid on top and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the steak is soft
Put Swiss steak on the plate and pour sauce on top of it
